This is an image of the Historic Lateral Weir looking downstream taken from the north bank. The rocky nature of this weir allows for the establishment of a variety of plants on the structure and along its edges. The microhabitats that are created by the intricate cascade of water flowing over the rocks are ideal for these plants.
