Taken one mile upstream from the Lake Las Vegas Intake and 1.7 miles downstream from the SNWA Lateral (ECS #1 site). Erosion control structure #3, also called the Demonstration Weir, is a rock riprap structure consisting of approximately 7,000 tons of dolomite limestone rock (donated by Lake Las Vegas Resort) and some concrete. This video will give you an overview of the Demonstration Weir site as well as a peek at some of the wildlife that has already started to make it their home.
