Wetlands Park - Nature Preserve
A 6-mile section of the
Wash is being transformed into one of the most unique wetlands parks in the country! This is all part
of Clark County's Master Plan to develop a portion
of the Wash into the Clark County Wetlands Park.

The work being conducted by the Las Vegas Wash Coordination Committee supports the
development of the Clark County Wetlands Park and will help with the long-term management
of the valuable ecological resources in the park. The first phase of construction
on the Nature Preserve, located at 7050 Wetland
Park Lane, has been completed and is now open to the public. The hours of operation for the
visitor center are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
While there is a great deal
of work yet to be done on the 2,900 acre Clark County Wetlands Park, the centerpiece of the park,
known as the Nature Preserve, is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
If you plan on going to the preserve, make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen. If
you plan on bike riding or bringing the family dog, please use the Duck Creek Trail entrance,
which is designed to meet those needs.

City
of Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve
Big birds, little birds, green birds, yellow birds! That's what you will see at the City of Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve,
located at 2400 Moser Drive in Henderson. The bird viewing preserve, while not technically on the Wash (the Wash is less than
a mile to the north) offers an excellent opportunity for all kinds of bird enthusiasts, from beginners who are just learning
the basics to expert birders who want to add birds to their life list. Due to their proximity, many species of birds that
are found in the Wash can also be seen at the preserve (view the list of birds identified in the Wash).
The preserve is open daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. with classes and walking tours available. Please call 702-267-4180
