Management Advisory Committee
One of the key recommendations set forth in the Las Vegas Wash Comprehensive Management Plan (LVWCAMP) was to establish a management structure to provide local oversight for the Las Vegas Wash Coordination Committee. Based on this recommendation, the Management Advisory Committee (MAC) was formed. Established first through a Memorandum of Understanding in 2000, and then finalized by Cooperative Agreement in 2002, the MAC meets quarterly to discuss and coordinate ongoing activities in the Wash.

In addition to capital infrastructure, the local agencies recognized the need to support the research and evaluation activities associated with implementing the LVWCAMP, as well as general operating expenses of the Las Vegas Wash Project Coordination Team that are associated with the project. To that end, the member agencies of the MAC have established Interlocal Agreements to establish funding allocations for Wash activities not funded under the proceeds of the quarter-cent sales tax.
Eight local agencies make up the MAC:
- City of Henderson
- City of Las Vegas
- City of North Las Vegas
- Clark County
- Clark County Regional Flood Control District
- Clark County Water Reclamation District
- Clean Water Coalition
- Southern Nevada Water Authority
MAC Vision
Lower Las Vegas Wash established and maintained as an integrated community resource.
MAC Mission
To develop the Lower Las Vegas Wash into a resource for the community by stabilizing erosion, protecting water quality, and supporting the development of the Clark County Wetlands Park.
