Speaker's Bureau

Water is a key factor in the history and future of Southern Nevada, and it plays a critical role in our community's quality of life. Some of the biggest challenges facing our community center around water. Among those challenges is the Las Vegas Wash.

The Las Vegas Wash Coordination Committee is continually striving to keep the public abreast of current activities in the Wash, as well as the overall project goal. Public involvement has been and will continue to be crucial to this project.

Using a network of trained speakers, the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) Speaker's Bureau addresses specific topics, promotes awareness and offers insight on a variety of water issues.

Speakers for the Wash include staff and volunteers from other organizations involved in managing the Wash. These speakers share their expertise on why the Wash is among our most important environmental resources and what is being done to protect it. During their presentation about the Wash, speakers will provide timely information, educational materials and answer questions. These presentations have been extremely helpful in adding to our volunteer database and helping the public better understand the project. We have also received helpful suggestions from these groups.

If your group would like to hear a presentation on the Coordination Committee and current activities in the Wash, please call (702) 822-3300. For all other presentations, please call (702) 258-3930.
