Landfill Weir
The Landfill Weir is named after the City of Henderson landfill, located just south of the weir. The weir is placed downstream of Bostick Weir and is the newest weir completed at the Las Vegas Wash. Construction of the weir began in spring of 2004 and was completed in February of 2005. The weir design is a rock riprap structure allowing for a more natural appearance to the Wash.

Rainbow Gardens Weir
The Rainbow Gardens Weir is named after the significant geologic formations located north of the wash. This concrete structure is located downstream of the Demonstration weir. Construction for the weir began in July of 2003, and was completed July of 2004 making it the 8th weir completed out of the 22 planned for the Wash.

Bostick Weir
The Bostick Weir, named after local conservationist, Vern Bostick, is located downstream of the Historic Lateral weir. This structure was completed in August 2003 and was so big that it required a Nevada State Dam Safety Permit. The large pond that has developed behind the weir attracts numerous species of waterbirds.

Demonstration Weir
This site is called "The Demonstration Weir" because it shows the possibilities for coupling the installation of erosion control structures with revegetation efforts to create wetland and riparian areas.

Pabco Road Weir
This site was originally the location of a utility road for a sand and gravel company. Now that the road is no longer used for transport, the site has been transformed into a large permanent grade control structure constructed by Clark County Parks and Recreation to aid in the development of the Wetlands Park.

Historic Lateral Weir
This site is the location of the first grade control structure installed in the Las Vegas Wash.

The structure was originally constructed in the 1984 to protect the water pipeline that used to cross the Wash at this location. Storm events in the late 90s breached the original weir. The permanent structure that is on the site today was built in 2000. By 2003 wetland vegetation had grown thick on the weir, obstructing the view of the structure.
